Help! New expensive clown stuck

Hello. i just purchased 2 new black clarkii's online. They were sold to me as a breading pair but the bigger one harassed him all day? I was also expecting a much blacker fish it currently looks brown. Anyways mid day yesterday he was no where to be found i discovered it in the overflow. any ideas on what to do? i can hardly reach it.

Try to get him out asap.

if it an overflow with a standpipe, pull it out and let it flush into the sump. I have done that many times in the past. In fact, I think some of the little buggers like it.

I agree - Pull the standpipe. There is a far greater risk of injuring the fish by trying to net it out.

As a last ditch effort, you can fill up the overflow with substrate which will drive the clown to the top and make him easier to catch.

Marbles work, they can then be siphoned out with 3/4" tubing.

ok. i am just getting home again. i tried the net route for a few hours. i do have the standpipe in but i am scared of the fish getting stuck in the pipe going into the sump lol.
