Help! Newbie bought a bleached anemone!

The lfs had the nem sitting in a piece of pvc tubing and he just yanked it out and put it in the bag leaving a film 'ring' floating in the tank... that was flesh off the nems foot im sure. Didnt know them but that was the red flag!

They should've just given you the PVC. Especially if you lived close, you could've brought it back when the nem decided to move out of it (which would be the least possible stress for the nem). In the future, I'd be careful with that employee. If it was the owner, find a different LFS. If they are selling 'nems they should know how delicate and critical the foot is.

one way to deal with a dead anemone is flush it...sorry for your loss though
