Help taking pictures....

Guys, can't seem to find a good thread on photo taking, I thought there was an article on the front page. I can't seem to get good closeups or take really good shots. I have a Sony Digital 7.2 Megapixel, model DSC-V3.

My tank if finally starting to look the way I want it to, and I can't share!
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

TrojanScott,
The biggest things to mess with are white balance, and aperture. I still can't get really good pictures but some of the zoanthid pictures in my gallery came out alright. Also, I'd get something to rest the camera on so you don't get any hand shaking. Good luck

well i'm not too good at it myself, but i've got a 7.2 mp canon camera...i put it on macro setting and its much better (tho you need lots of light) but keep the flash off..that just makes glare...keep the camera right up on the glass. Thats what's worked for me...tho its not consistant cuz i dont have a steady hand...so you need a tripod imo.

also, theres a photography forum here...check there, they'll all know what to tell you ;)
