I recently bought a clownfish, now let me ask you guys...

What do you think? Is this fish a regular ocellaris clownfish? Or a caramel clownfish..

He barely measures 1 inch.

He is kinda brownish.. I got it because the guy at the store told me that it is a black clownfish... But I don't know I don't trust them..

Looks like a regular ocellaris to me, but it is quite common for the black and white ocellaris to be orange when they are young and being dominated by other clowns in the tank.

what's a "carmel" clownfish? looks like a normal ocellaris clownfish to me too....

btw...slow down the flow and give that poor little fella a chance to catch it's breathe...:lol:

This is a caramel clownfish

Basically it's a juvenile black ocellaris..

This little guy was really stressed because I got him yesterday, that's why he was swimming like crazy , not because of the strong flow lol.. :)

Now he looks a little bit brownie and I see that his nose looks orange, Is it just me? Or I'm staring to see weird things..

Check out the new video;

What do you think guys?

Based on the pectoral fin coloration, my guess is that you have one of the caramel ones (black x orange). It will get darker as it ages, but will never be fully black. Based on observation, Black occellaris by the time they would have developed the black around their pectoral fins, they should be a lot darker than yours.
