I put in some new live rock to my tank a couple of months back and it seems to have brought in something with it...
There are what I guess are hundreds (maybe thousands) of little orange/brown coloured 'flakes'.
I thought at first maybe its a type of algae but they are all independent of each other (not hairy at all) and about 2-3mm in length. When I look real closely at one in isolation on the front glass, you can actually see a slightly fluorescent red coloured base at one end and they are definitely very slowly crawling around.
The problem is they are literally swamping some of my live rock to the degree that those rocks look orange!
What do you think they could be??? How do I get rid???
Thanks for any suggestions guys.
