help with 9415

Just got my new skimmer and tried to assemble it. I thought everything was going good until I finished and there are two parts left over. I found them in the parts list on page 56/57 of the english manual. I have not yet found them referenced in the rest of the manual. They are:
part# 6 - screw socket with O ring seal
part# 7 - hose clip

what are they and where are they used?

also part# 4 - strainer doesn't seem to be in the box

The strainer is not included with the 9415 because it will not fit, the clearance between the pump and sump is not sufficient.

Part 6 is optional, if you wanted to position the pump remotely and use a hose to feed the skimmer, while possible, this is not ideal, it reduces the pumps performance.

Part 7 is the air adjustment, it threads over the airline on the silencer and you turn it closed to adjust the air flow and the skimmers performance. This image shows where it goes-

What hose do I need to position the pump remotely?

The fitting is for 25mm, the largest Eheim tubing would fit, 1" is close.
