help with a haddons nem

I have a haddons carpet that has gone into my sandbed fully,
I know its moving but it has been 3 days now and it still hasn't come up out of the sand. Any ideas how long I should wait before I start hunting for it, I don't want it to die

Mine will usually stay under the SB for 2 or 3 days. How is your alk? if its off this will also make them hide. or do you have any type of fish that might be picking on him, like a butterfly or angel?

Alk is good last time I checked but will recheck it. No fish picking on it. It wsyer change tome will give it a few more days before I go into panic mode

i found my nem my question now is its in about a 4inch deep sandbed and sand keeps getting blown into its mouth is this ok for it or should i do something to stop the sand??

They can remove the sand themselves. So long as the sand is not constantly being blown into their mouth. Glad he turned up for you.

I adjusted the flow a bit to stop filling it with sand
