Help with a price tag?

Well, due to everything in my life going down hill fast, I am throwing around the idea of selling my large system,

What do you think would be a fair price to ask for the following:

120g Glass Aquarium (Would have to go look at brand)
Canopy
Stand
40g sump/fuge
2 Mega Over-flows
2 Koralia 4's with modded impellar shafts
1 Modded MJ1200
Sedra 9000 return pump
Tek T5 8x54
300 watt heater
Octopus 200 with Gate valve and mesh mod.
2 96 watt VHO's and ballast (not sure of brand)
Also includes all plumbing

no parting out. I'd like to move as a package deal if I sell it...

Just looking to get an estimate on what people think this would be worth as I am not really sure...

I don't think you will like the harsh reality of reselling things you bought in this hobby. It is usually around the 50% of retail mark if the item is in perfect shape.

I have seen similar setups going for around $700-1200. It also depends on how fast you want to get rid of things. It is much harder to sell a complete setup compared to parting out and you end up getting much less because most people will have several of your items that they are not interested in but will buy a complete package if the price is right. Then they sell/trade what they didn't want.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Yea I know. lol. This is a hard thing to think about, but it's either this or not have my own place or back to sleeping on a love seat. heh.

i have lots of things to catch up on, i may just keep it, TRY to fix up this house and sell it for more than i bought it, which actually won't be too bad cause i got a great deal on it. but it's having to move back in with relatives that is the worst part.

We bought a virtually new 150 setup for $300. She was asking $400 and I was going to pay it, but my wife asked if she'd take $300.

$300.... The hobby is not an investment, but what is nowadays! The stock market? Real estate?

If you are serious about your house..can help you there and give you an idea of what to list it for/what it's worth in today's market..what we do for a living. (appraise houses) Let me know if I can help.

Also I see you are not at the time interested in parting out. May want to reconsider that option as that seems the only way to sell a setup anymore. Most people just need certain items or want yours to upgrade. Most of the time parting out will make more that your package price.
