no that skimmers taking care of my LR, were getting the vent in then the stand comes back from being sprayed Friday, & out of all those tanks you rattled off its only a 210 & 75 oh yea my 3g to, those must be all your tanks LOL, & im glad i started this thread i thought i was going to need to buy a new skimmer, and to think that's all it needed,i think i read where Andy said he had to do that every time he started it up,i better go check and see if i unplug it then plug it back up will it start right up, if not DAVE do u think i should replace that part in it?

You wouldn't have to buy a new skimmer anyhow the only moving parts on a skimmer is the pump which is also the only thing that can wear out...if you really have a problem it could only be that the pump is old and wearing out...replacing it would solve the problem. A skimmer pump is generally much cheaper than a brand new skimmer.

I would disassemble the pump and check the magnet to see if it is swollen , distorted , or cracked. Check the pump to see if the magnet well is distorted. Be careful not to lose any of the parts.

I split my drink just now from laughing... sexist? we are still talking about reefing aren't we? fine omit the words women/husband from my statement and insert the word club member/spouse
