I have my 56gal reef tank well stocked with both fish and coral. Ive had my false t/r perc in for over a year, with a mate that recently died..ooo about 2 months ago due to being egg bound...i recently added another "t/r" false perc about 2 weeks ago, and within the last day had the symptoms of brooklynella pop up. i called the local reef store for help but he said he hadnt any luck..best ive come up with is using quick cure since it has malachite green and formalin, the known cure for brooklynella. i got a gallon of water in a Styrofoam container, used an air stone and abided by the directions for quick cure (one drop per gallon) and did a 30 min dip for both clowns since no lathargic notions have been noticed, i let them sit for the full 30 mins. once added back into the tank they immediatley started eating (ocean nutrition w garlic for immune support), but about 20 mins later the small clown w the worst case started swimming in wide fast circles. so i set up a qt with ro salt and fresh droppin salinity to 1.018 and only putting new clown in, where it appears to be ok now, not flipping out..am i doing this right??? any opinions or help from someone whose had this prob before and came out successful?
