I want to run 2 fans off the 110 electrical outlet, can anyone tell me what kind of voltage reducer I need ?

Voltage / Ampere / Size: DC 12V 0.21A, 60x60x15mm
Part Number: 2406KL-04W-B50, T10

Thank you

I used an old wall wart from some random piece of electronics I had laying around (an old cordless phone I think, or a modem or something) that had enough of a current rating to support the load. On my canopy I'm running two .15A, 12V fans with a .8A, 7.5V wall wart. The lower voltage reduces the fan speed a little to reduce the noise and lower some of the cooling effect (similar to how the fans on my ATI fixture inside the canopy works).

voltage reducer? You need an AC to DC converter. You could just find an old 12 volt DC power supply. I used one from an old external modem. Or you can buy a new one. They sell them pretty much everywhere that sells this kind of stuff.

Thanks guys, but I'm rebuilding an old unit and it came with the led drivers that work fine;and the unit has a small box that takes the electricity from the outlet and it runs the fans.Unfortunately the small box has absolutely no writing on it.I really don't need any more wires outside the unit.

Are you converting from 110 to 12 VDC? I just did this. Like everyone above said you need to lower the voltage and convert from AC to DC. I used a cell phone charger and plug it into a wall outlet. If you are not wanting an exterior cord I would find a 110 circuit inside the unit that is switches and run an outlet inside the housing to plug the cell charger into, then wire tie it down.
