Alright -
I'm starting to layout how to set up the 300g logistically. I have a 72" Lifereef skimmer. 2 - 1.5" drains and 4 - 1" Returns.
Questions:
1. Could I gravity feed this from one of the overflows.
2. If I do gravity feed it, will the refugium see enough water?
Here are my calcualtions. I would hook the 2 pumps I have to the returns.
Little Giant 4:
Total losses are 7.54 feet of head pressure, or 3.26 PSI. with a flow rate of 980 GPH. Process took 127 iterations.
Little Giant 3:
Total losses are 7.66 feet of head pressure, or 3.31 PSI. with a flow rate of 780 GPH. Process took 90 iterations
Total = 1,760
So, if 1,000 gph or so will go to the skimmer, the refugium will see approximately 700 gallons per hour.
3. What will the bulkheads support with Durso Standpipes? I calculate about 1,300 per overflow with the calculator on the homepage.
Any other suggestions or help is appreciated!
Thanks much!
