Hey guys, i purchased my tank from one of our members here and im having cyano issues. I did a water change and the next day it was back. I added a powerhead for more flow and nothing. What else can i do to fight this?

Decrease nutrients, lights off for 2 days, increase flow as much as you can. This usually cuts it down significantly. If it comes back repeat weekly till needed. Be patient. No need for extreme measures unless your corals are dying.

I'm always nervous adding chemicals to a tank with livestock.

Good luck.

Try keeping a balance between No3 and Po4 16:1, reduce the red colour of your lights and it will go away. Good luck !
