And after reviewing your pics... did you glue the mushroom directly to a rock? If so, I have had zero luck with that method, they all seem to reject the glue, and expel the glued part away, and float away.
The recommended method would be to use cheap wedding veil or other poly mesh to wrap around the mushroom, holding it to a peice of rock or rubble until the foot can naturally grow onto the rock, then remove the veil. This also makes moving the coral much easier and less stressful.
This stuff can be bought at Michaels for dirt cheap, or online for even cheaper.
Either way, if all is lost, it's just a mushroom, and not that expensive to replace is the worst is in order. Some people make small mistakes and end up losing hundreds of dollars in single coral peices. So rest assured knowing that if you mess up, it's not the end of the world
