Help with Shrimp identity

Can anyone help me identify this little shrimp, we found him this evening in a container we had put some rock in while we were aquascaping. Now I need to know if it's ok to put him back in the tank or not. It's little maybe 3/8" and one claw is big, the other looks more like little scissors.

Any suggestions would be apprieciated,
Thanks

I got mine with my live rock and it has been driving everyone crazy at night for years now. If you put him in your tank it will be very hard to get him out if you change your mind. I'd say you are lucky for catching him like that:)

That's exactly why he's not going in there!!! He may be small and not cause too much trouble now, but he'll grow.

if all else fails throw him in your sump fuge, they besides the snapping sound they make they are great creatures IMO. I never had a prob. with mine. I will put a piece of krill or shrimp infront of it's hideout and he would never touch my snails.

i hate when new people feed bad info.

it won't hurt your snails or hermits, it's a scavenger, it'll pop at them but thats fine.

your LFS will give you atleast $5 for it most sell them for 20, and there all tiny like that usually maxing out just over an inch or so
