:headwalls:Ok. so I am having trouble taking good photos with my sony dslr a700.. Is this a result of operator error or because its leds or both? Any help is appreciated.. I know allot of people use filters. Was considering buying some..any help is much appreciated. :headwallblue:

Taking decent pics under very blue leds can be challenging. It would help if you could post a pic or two to see what you're experiencing please.

Are you shooting in RAW and white balancing while post processing? That is generally the best approach for color accuracy under high color temperature lighting.

If its because the pic is coming out blue try adjusting the white balance. I dont have a sony but on my DSLR i can run the white balance close to my light spectrum i think 18k

Looks pretty good to me. But i understand about the processing to get it there. I recently bought a Olympus Tough for the kids around the pool because i was tired of having my DSLR's around the pool. The tough i can just put in the aquarium and snap a shot

are you using a tripod and a remote camera shutter release button? that would drop the shakiness of the pictures by billions! It will give you a clean crisp image you never though you could get otherwise!

I have issues with using a tripod with shutter release. The pictures I want are of my tiny tanks, and I have no room to move around them..LOL

I will try the tripod and shutter release..... I know that's how I do photos when I'm open on my f-stop...

But for color.. I can order filters... Just not sure of color filter to order..

i just got the sony a6000. i dont know if it has the same settings but i adjust the white balance under "menu->camera->white balance->c.temp/filter->" to 9900k and my pics come out pretty true to their colors even when i have my blue lights turned all the way up. ill upload some pics later so you can see
