IMO & IME; ich can only be cured by hypo, copper, or quinine sulfate. The fish must be in a QT, these methods will kill inverts. Sometimes, ich can be kept under control for a while; but will reappear. There are no "reef-safe" cures for ich; but lots of hype about a zillion products that claim to work in the presence of inverts. Get a QT, always use it, and you'll never get ich again---if you properly cure ,(rather than just "patch"), the fish you have now. Please read as much valid info as you can on this subject; there just isn't an easy answer. If there was; it would be plastered all over this site, and every other source of info for the SW hobbyist. It isn't.
