Hi i added a clownfish after my male had passed (the female accepted him fine and he has got her all over the tank swimming together). but now my problem is my fire fish won't come out of his rock. i see him peaking out sometimes but he won't come out to eat. today he did come out all the way to his normal area but the second the clown went over (the new clown) to eat the fire fish went back into his hole. how long till they get along.

p.s on the first day they were together the fire fish and new clown were happy together

I wouldn't worry too much about the shyness of a firefish. I would, however, pay more attention to the health of the fish. Your post didn't say wether the clown was quarantined or not. If not, just make sure that nothing (disease and/or parasites weren't introduced as well. Other than that, just keep an eye out for aggression. Also, what type of clown?
