BTAs are capable of reproducing both sexually and asexually.
I do not know if what you have are the planula larvae. I have not seem them personally, but I know that they do form in the tentacles of the BTA before they are released or escape as the case may be.
Anemone's are very adaptable, multiple methods for breeding and taking in what they need for energy, being both photosynthetic and able to take in food.
I'm interested in this form of reproduction as well, never really see it discussed
