Help!!

Help! Ok, first one of my damsels is MIA. Took the entire tank apart because if she was dead I didn't want that pneumonia spike to kill my beautiful corals and clean up grew, let alone the other damsel.

When I turn the lights on,stock lighting, the flourescent bulb flash on, then back off, but the Actenics are fine.'

I'm think ballast, perchance? We've plugged the light into several different sockets on the power strip (Aquarium use strip)

As I sit here, biting my lip so I don't say anything I'd regret, dear DH. Ok, DH has solved the light problem, but we're STILL MISSING A FISH! :mixed:

:sad1: I've had fish die. I've had them mutilated, by another fish, but I've never had one just go *POOOOF*!! So quit laughing over there, Dave.

Well if anything good came of it I re-aquascaped and it's more to my liking now, and dufus DH, get this. . .Last time I was in Kermit's I wanted the red flame scallop, and he refused. Yesterday he starts talking to one of the guys ( Sorry I don't know your faces if I've talked to you on here, and if you haven't been on here, it doesn't matter. Say howdy next time I'm in. So anyway...home comes my new scallop who is such a character, um..as much as you can be and be a mollusk. He first perched him self on end against the glass, instead of lying on the bottom as you'd expect. *Geesh* Needless to say, I helped him out, and he's (fascinating to watch - wow) moved across the front of the tank to live by the brain coral.

Yea yea. I know. Pictures, but The water got a little stirred up so I want it a tad clearer first. It's not bad, just enough to distort pictures slightly.

Scott - Don't laugh, but while DH was searching for the MIA fish, he somehow messed with the timer on my aquarium power-strip. And of course we couldn't find the book. Well, he finally realized and Woila! I was about to have a minor breakdown, especially after this week.

PPS I sure didn't realize how big this new leather coral was until I put it in the cube. :eek2: The good news is there is already new growth that will be grow up to be able fragged one day. Good thing I'm working on that 55 so as he/she/it grows I'll have a larger home for it.

Brats!!! Come on, I went the full suggested 8 weeks after my crash, so having anything in there is a good thing. I'll admit that's why I got damsels, but still...the corals have all turned around, those that didn't die off completely. Water params have still stayed perfect. I guess the mystery of my tank crash will always remain such a mystery. I got a really neat, good size leather yesterday. Is that a little more impressive?

Oh, and my goofy scallop is out doing laps again. That's really fascinating. I mean, how many people, besides SW enthusiasts, ever get to see a mollusk actually move from one place to another?

So quit raining on my parade. :P

Did you check the floor around the tank? I don't know if it's possible for your fish to jump out in the type of tank you have. I found a perfectl dried little clown fish on the floor shortly after Sanford set up a tank in our house.

I also have found a perfectly round clown fish in the intake to my powerhead! I have had fish go MIA too. In fact, I have not seen my neon goby in a few days in my pico.
