Not sure why my female clown is trying to kill my male. They have been together for over a year. It was chasing it all over the tank and has it up in the corner half dead. I turned the lights out to try and help the little guy out. It did this a few months ago and I just put a divider in there for a day or two but don't have one now.
Should I be worried or do you think it will work its self out?

Cinnamon clowns. I don't think they were working out the sex. They have been in there over a year together, I have seen the little one do the little dance thing a few times. The female is almost twice as big now, the male hasn't grown much since I got them but the female almost doubled.
He slept away from the nen last night and when I got home from work this morning he was by her and by the nen, but he is swimming away now and then keeping some distance. I think it is ok now just needs to re grow some fins is all.
I am just wondering as to what brought the aggression on. The female was chasing the coral beauty around last week, but didn't half the damage to it as what it did to the male.
There hasn't been anything new to the tank in over 4 months. The only thing different is that I put new bulbs in yesterday. I don't think that could make her do that.
