help! what sould i do i got a purple Stylophora 2 weeks ago and every day when i come home from work it gets more and more dead spots on it and at night with a flash light i see like big amphipods on the coral and it looks as if they are eating it!

They are probably not eating the coral, they are probably eating dead tissue. What are your parameters and lighting and fish/inverts?

temp 79
salt .024
cal 440
alk 9.5
ph 8.3
blue hippo tang, yellow tang, yellow eye kole tang, six line wrasse, bi color blenny, 2 clowns, blue spot jawfish, coral beauty, mandarin goby, 2 cleaner shrimp, coral banded shrimp

Haven't witnessed stylo being attacked, but they'd eat the skirts off my zoo's every few weeks before I got my first fish (sixline - lasted a few months before jumping - yes fishless again). Not to say there's no rogue crab hiding out it that tank, but don't be so confident that it's not the amphipods either!

My zoo's got real happy after the fish arrived. :-)

My stylo has suffered when it grows more and flow in the tank doesnt increase accordingly to the increase in corals blocking the flow, it starts to die off in the center.
