Here is my new gbta I just replaced. My old one was too small and got caught behind by the bottom slots of my oceanic megaflow which tore it in half. Half still on the slots the other half went down the sump. This one looks like a big one and hopefully those evil bottom overflow slots don't suck up my gbta.

Those tomato clowns are kinda aggresive. The female bites everytime my hands are in the tank. The male is biting and nipping on the anemone. Boy, I never knew they were that aggressive. So far I tried to feed the gbta some squid but the tentacles don't grab it. It has been only two days, should I wait a little longer to feed it?

sweet bubble, i just got one yesterday also....yours looks like it has longer tentacles....i introduced it to my tank this morning, this pic is ten minutes after lights came on

its the pic...its real nice color under actinics....i dont have vhos the actinics arent the best...i have a hybrid anenome, crossed between BTA and a carpet....thats white with few purple tips, came form dr sanjay....its an awesome one also...no my PC's suck for actinics, need to get VHO's for the colors to come out better...plus my camera was on flash and it takes the color right out....

Glad to hear it's just the pic! I remember my very first anemone years ago when I was first starting out (and looking back, pretty uneducated and naive). The LFS told me that the white BTA that I was buying was a very rare color variety! Needless to say, I did enjoy it for about 1 month.

only a few rocks have cyano now, just happens the pic i shot has cyano right next to it, cant wait for my other rock for the cyano to die off, ill post pics of that rock when it does die off, it has these baby anenomes wich dont get any bigger than about 1/4 inch, and there is like 10 of them on this one rock, there awesome, the cyano is slowing dying its been withering the last month i give it another month it should be gone by then, the macro is pickin up bigtime, and the crab is called a sea anenome crab...its awesome,it keeps the anenome clean....oh and who said i bought anything, i dont pay for stuff....lol...i help out people, they give me frags....works for me...the GBTA attached in under 30 seconds, never moved anywheres, yet, now im waiting on the clowns to host in it, been 4 days now,

the reaqson i introduced cyano to my tank is because i bought marshall island live rock, about 90lbs of it for about 25 cents a pound, so i knew i was gonna introduce cyano, these rocks were about 30% covered in it, but i couldnt find marshall island live rock any cheaper, i should have bleached them and cycled them first but they had so much life in these rocks it was unreal, it was in a well established tank for 7 yrs, and until the people i bought it from just let the tank go, and when you do that you get algae outbreaks, and bacteria growth and its just not good, but i knew i was doing a refugium, and knew it would rid the cyano, my rocks are getting there, the algea is slowing dieing, man i wish this hobby was a fast paced hobby...im so impatient,...

spoon25 , it took almost 4 months for my percs to find my GBTA. The male didn't move in until about 1 week after the female. Can take a looong time. Keep us updated.

hey guys...how often do you feed your anemone? I feed mine two days in a row with pieces of squid. Today, I tried to feed it...and the anemone would not eat it. My tomato pair then took the pieces and carried it somewheres else, like my squid wasn't worth it for the anemone. What is going on?

i have fed my GBTA once since i had it and i havent fed the others maybe once in the last 3 months...i have tried but nothing seems to work, i think they get enough food from the lighting and floating particles in the water...my tube eats quite a bit though, of course they are azooanthellates meaning they dont use light to feed from, by procucing algae from the photosythesis....i wouldnt worry about it maybe once a week, unless your getting ready to fatten it up so you can frag it...lol

the clowns actually feed your anenomes...they will bring it food...you should watch your clowns when you do feeding, watch it, and take picks of it bringing food to your anenome...its neat to watch....wish mine hosted in my gbta or another anenome for that matter

i bet ya you have those nemo clowns...I had those guys and they like to host on different corals... I had most of them host in a brain or frogspawn.
