The intake will have extra plastic on it, a dremel can open it up a little more and allow a smoother flow. Removing as little as an 1/8th of an inch would increase flow and the same can be done with all joints, it will create a better flow. Would it be easier than plopping down the credit card for a different pump...no...but it would also help with their poor design. Us old hot rodders know what porting a set of heads can do for performance, it can work here too. Extra castings in the intake section cause turbulence, smoothe the opening and the flow increases because you decrease the turbulence.
