Here we go again... The "nth" tank build!!

Thanks Keith! I couldn't have done it without you.

Lap, thanks bud, I appreciate the offer.

Mark, it was awesome to finally see your legendary tank for the 1st time. Your acro colonies are amazing!

UPS is delivering a bunch of goodies tomorrow. Updates will follow!

UPS came by and delivered a few goodies. I finally received my BRS rodi unit and my Vertex Omega 150 skimmer. Fresh rodi water is being made now and my skimmer is in my sump. Man, if the skimmer's footprint was 1" larger, it probably wouldn't have fit. Just waiting for UPS to deliver my MP-10's and the Apex controller. The only piece missing from the puzzle is the lighting!! Still can't make up my mind.:(

The UPS man (have him on speed dial) dropped off a few goodies on Fri. I've been very busy setting up my Apex controller w/netgear modem, and a pair of MP10's. The only things missing are lighting and a dosing pump. The good news is that I have finally decided on my lighting! I was considering the AI 52's or the new Kessil A360W-E's as my lighting of choice. When I saw a few pics of the 52's having the dreaded "disco" ball effect, that made my choice clear. Looks like I will order a pair of the Kessil's.

Very nice Sang. Have you considered Radion for lighting? So far as LED goes, I only liked the radion or mitra. They are easy to control and has great power output.

Also great taste on the stand design. Your tank stand and my Elos mini looked identical. Lol

Thanks Ed! Do you have a pic of your stand? To tell you the truth, I didn't consider the Radions or the Mitra, not sure why, lol. I kinda forgot about this thread, sorry guys. My tank has been fully cycled since early Jan. I have a pair of captive bred Latz in a rose anemone and a pair of Swissguards. As far as corals go, I have a red dragon frag and an ORA red goniopora. I eventually decided on a Kessil A360we and 2x24" T5's. Just in case I don't get the results with LED's, I bought a MH reflector from Reefgeek and can simply retrofit it into my hanging canopy. I'll try to take some pics later this week as I add more acro frags.

Bryan (fishnerd) and Lou has mitras. They are pretty amazing lights. I'm using Radion pros and pretty happy with the results.

My stand was made a while back by a cabinet place in Morgan
Hill. After researching on RC, ended up finding a nice design and had it made. Here are some shots.

That's a nice stand! It looks like very similar to mine. I basically copied D2mini's stand. Is that the RC member that you patterned your stand after?

Livestock pics? Of Sang's tank? BRB...while I go buy myself a lotto ticket

Here's a pic of the floating canopy. It's a pretty basic setup that I've been using for the past 6-8 years. It's just a plywood box that is suspended into the ceiling with four griplock hangers. It's fully adjustable as well.

The main reason I went with BB is the fact that it is so much easier to clean the detritus off the bottom of the tank. I admit that I do prefer the looks of a sand bed and might switch over someday.

What bulbs are you running with the kessil. I'm running a very similar setup and currently running two blue+ bulbs with two 350's.
