Here we go, dosed some chemiclean

i think you got raw sewage instead. good series you guys killed us.
I figured if the coral feeds on fish poop and grows then dropping a couple deuces plus good flow and lighting would turn my frags to colonies in no time flat! Was that wrong Richard?

Your giants are off to a rough start

Honestly the best my tank has looked in years.

Looks good Schnitz. I've done it in the past and my only complaint was dealing with the skimmer after the treatment but otherwise it worked well.

Try the skimmer trick I posted previously in this thread Mike if you ever need to dose again. Hopefully, you'll never have to dose ever again but good to know if you do. Works with any meds that makes the skimmer crazy.

The photos don't do it justice, the tank actually looks much better in person.

Thanks bud!

Looks like it didnt work lol

Been 2 weeks not of ZERO cyano. Only problem is I'm kicking myself for not doing it earlier. Even if it does come back in a couple weeks or months, still worth it. Tank looks amazing right now.

Looks good, how often do you change your water?

I usually do 50g every 4-8 weeks. Just depends on my schedule.

Yea I was honestly surprised at how well it worked. 3 days after I dosed there was still some tiny patches, and I was ok with that. I figured if I did a full dose next time, it would have wiped it all out. I was wrong, within a couple days it was completely gone. Tank has honestly never looked better.

Looks great! So , aside from slightly underdosing , was everything else according to directions / schedule? I'm thinking I'm gonna take a run at mine in about a week. Been putting it off ,out of (probably) irrational fear of "˜the cure being worse than the disease' .

Followed the directions (besides dosage), and it worked fine. I left my skimmer running and added an air stone just in case. I saw no negative side effects.

Just to update this thread, I haven't seen any cyano since dosing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I won't have to dose it frequently.

Tank is doing amazing right now. Since the cyano is gone I am feeding heavier and the corals are loving it.

Shouldn't it be the other way around. No more cyano to uptake nutrients causing your nutrients to spike. I thought you'd need to feed less.

I may give this a try. Cyano is getting out of hand but my nutrients are sometimes low.
