This is the first time I have showed off my tank. I hope it is up to par. I wish it looked better.

Very nice tank! I love the way you have it setup. Is this a young tank? The reason I ask is it seems you have a nice refuge growing macro but still have a little algea problem.

Mark75 the tank has been set up this last time for 1 year 5 months. I have had to change the tank 3 times now. The fuge has been set up since Feb, I just cleaned the fuge's right before those pictures. I wish I could get rid of the algae in the display. Any advice on how?
Pmolan, I don't add calcium unless it gets below 410, it is at 420 now, but I do drip kalk in my top off. I have posted the question about green coraline, and no purple, at least half a dozen times, with no help. Any suggestions on the subject?
Thanks for the kind words.

You can get it started with a purple encrusted piece of live rock.. Take a knife and scrape small pieces into the tank. With your calcium levels, it should take off in no time.

I never did Kalkwaser.. Too much work for me. I do ESV 2 part.. Calcium and Alk buffer. I also add Magnesium to compliment that. I also have some urchins that eat and poop coraline all day long to seed everything.

Thats interesting, I have never heard of that.

Thanks very much everyone! wrott, yes I do skim, but I'm wondering if my CPR Bak-Pak II is not enough any more.

What is everyone using as there skimmer? If I get a better skimmer, will the green algae subside?
