Here's my tank.

the tank looks great man, nice to see succesful 55's out there. gives me hope :D little read house for mine.. still young tho.. due for and update any day
 
Thanks very much everyone, the tank is going pretty well. I had a weird and unexplainable period of time where some of my Zoa's started to recede. Since, I have started dosing Vitamin C and running a Phosban reactor. The receding has stopped, but I havn't been dosing the Vit C long enough to really see any forward progress though. I will continue dosing as long as I don't see any ill effects.

Looks so much better now that the purple coraline has taken over. You've got some great growth as well. I really like your use of the closet as a tank room. Very clean.
 
OMG ! I can't believe the amount of growth in there. My jaw just about hit the desk when i saw the updated pics.

The tank looks fabulous ! I especially love the fuge and sump....because it's SIMPLE ! Even *I* can understand what is going on down there.
 
WOW!! Thanks very much everyone. It was a fun project and I really love the system. I will try and get some new updated pics, the growth is even better now. The hammer on the left has grown into the glass and quite possibly has already outgrown the tank. I don't know what to do with it other than frag it.

That sound interesting. The zoa's I had an issue with are completely gone. Everything else is fine but that particular zoa, completely melted away.

great looking tank - I really like how you finished off the front, very clean looking. Did you use regular drywall corner beading and then a piece of molding?
 
Thanks psteeleb! All I did was cut the drywall and finished the edge off with some "knock down" spray, then put a piece of quarter round on that. That was it.

wow,nice turn around on the tank.when i saw the first page of the thread i was thinking this could be bad but you deffinately turned it around and now its thriving.whatever you are doing different continue on that trend and you should have no problems.I would frag the dominant corals (hammer) though,especially the agressive species to make sure they are not burning anything (like your zoos that you lost) and trade them for something you like and dont have.awesome tank and great job fliping it around
 
your tank looks fantastic, i love its position in the house as well, the refugium is the cleanest ive seen, very nice set up and a very good set of photos, well done spleify
 
I agree with all these put together. More flow, bigger skimmer, and maybe a higher kelvin rated bulb. Maybe a 14k. It could be the camera however. There is something about "in-wall" setups that look great with a bluer tint. Seems very modern.
 
Wonder if we can get an update on this tank ?? There was a huge difference in the first pics and the second set of updates !!
