Hey Roger, external wavebox ??

I am about to order my tank and plan to use this method to duplicate Tunze wavebox's without the black box in my tank.

My question is should I make my glass box larger so that it can hold more water and therefore be able to displace more water?
There will be one on each end of a 95" long tank.

I thought I might make the glass box twice the size of an actual wavebox.

Awesome work.

The only problem I see is how you will take off the pump from the box if you need to do some maintenance ?

If I were you I had hold on the pump with one magnet in the back wall of the box

From what I have read there is just enough room in the box to slide the Stream back and out of the box. I could size the box to incorporate the magnets.

Making the box bigger would not add any benefit unless you used a 6301 to power the box. The pump cannot displace more water than what is in the wavebox in the time it is running.
