HI all- been away for a while

Absolutely great talking to you to Jesse (Misled) - Maybe talkign with fellow reefers is one of the thing I missed most when I was out of the hobby for a few years. Your various Shrooms are looking great, RBTA not so good. What type of lights do you have? I put him at medium depth under my XR30 Radion ( 70% full power), but he never looked good out of the bag, so I moved him up- but no change. Hopefully he will recover in the night. Maybe it is too bright- hence the question about your lights. Thanks again for the generous donation.

Also got a few frags ( torch and hammer) and some Dragons Breath macro algae from another local reefer- thanks again Donna for your donation. Everything I got from you is looking super - the LED program is dimming the lights into blue spectrum now and the Torch coral has a great neon green glow to it and the RTBA arms are a bright pink.

Tested both of your waters with my PH probe and AC3 setup - Misled's water read 7.4 , and Donna's was at 7.6. Ya, definitely have a defective PH probe or the AC3 is fried - but the AC3 is reading temp correctly and the self test passes. I will contact Premium Aquatics as I purchased the probe from them recently to see if there is a warranty on the probe or what.

I don't think you'll have too much light. He was under a 250mh. Just leave him be. They can get shocked when first getting in a new tank. If they aren't happy where they are, they'll move.

Ted, I am glad that the frags I gave you are doing well. I agree with Jesse about the RBTA, just give it a few days to adjust. They are pretty hardy nems. Today I will tackle catching my pair of anthias for you. Wish me luck! Dawn

Very good- OK . He looks better today - his arms are still skinny- I will leave him toward the top of the tank then and wait for him to get adjusted.

Donna- if you need help let me know.

I send an email to Premium Aquatics regarding the defective probe- they sent me back an email that referred me to a link for support for Neptune Apex controllers- ya, don't think that is going to help. The link opens to a Neptune Apex controller support site to make a warranty claim. It does not even list my AC3 as an option - probably too old.

The red dragons breath macro is awesome! Once it starts really taking off it gets really cool orange tips! And mine is under an elive led pod system with high output and plant grow pods!

Ted, the anthias have been caught and are ready when you are. Ha ha, my reef tank now has a new scape! I had to tear it apart and drain most of the water to catch the little stinkers. Most everything looks pretty good even though some of the corals were out of the water for 15-20 minutes. My RBTA was pretty deflated for awhile but it seems to be perking up now. I sucked up as much detritus as I could, did better than a 20g water change, and added new carbon and Seachem stability. Tomorrow I will test for nitrates and phosphates and see if another water change is warranted. Even with all this messing around I am pleased to have the anthias out of there and I hope you enjoy them. BTW, their names are Romeo and Juliet.

OK - I am working till 7PM tonight- and could come at about 8pm, but will be pretty tired afterwards. Tomorrow afternoon is still best for me- Unless you feel you want me to come this evening - then I will. You have my cell- just text me and I will do what ever you feel is best for the happy couple.

I hope my Dragons breath gets those orange tips as well- very cool.

OK the Anthias are in and eating fine - thanks Dawn. The RBTA moved and apparently failed to figure out the flow is pretty good in the tank and it must not have been gripping enough and ended up in the back /bottom of tank- Ahhh- so I had to move rocks to find him and get him up into the light again. I think he was only "down below" for an hour or so - he perked right up after a few hours.

Pics tomorrow - I hope.

soon, very soon, Have not taken a pic in forever, batteries were dead in camera - so may have some difficulty finding the proper battery - supposed to be rechargeable- but it failed. I hope its not too difficult to find a replacement. - that's tomorrows project.

If you have a hard time finding it, check ebay. I found some for the keyless entry for my 97 Volvo, the dealer is buying them there now. He couldn't find them for a couple years before that.

Well, no pics yet= no battery yet. But did get my order from Reefs2go = 10 blue legs hermits, 2 tiger conch, 2 small serpent stars, 1 emerald crab, 10 cerith snails, 10 Bumble Bee snails. 250 pods, and some empty shells for the hermits in an attempt to make them NOT go after any snails. All look good except that one tiger conch was DOA.

I will find a battery for that darn camera soon. Or buy a new camera- anybody have a suggestion for a less than $250 "point and shoot" that does a good job- nothing fancy but a decent zoom, can set speed manually, etc.

Nikon Coolpix was always a good one for me

You would probably want something more like

Nikon Coolpix P530 16.1 MP

more than

Nikon Coolpix S9700 16.0 MP Compact Digital Camera

But none the less, coolpix always worked very well for me and are quite affordable for the quality imo

But I'm also a Nikon fan ;)
