HI all- been away for a while

It looks like you are off to a great start Ted! Romeo and Juliet look well adjusted and I like the firefish.

Ted, your tank is looking nice! Wow, your dragon's breath is thriving. Is that Romeo in the front? It looked like your firefish are hiding from the orange fish? If its Romeo you need to get a fish that will put him/her into their place!

BTW Ted, did you copy the IMG for forums? I just wondered because when I copy and paste that it shows the pic rather than a link. Its the bottom option.

Kinda- I figured this worked - so good enough. And the Firefish are actually hiding from the purple psuedochromis more than they are from Romeo. I love the color of the purple Psuedo... but they are aggressive/nasty and I lost my mystery wrasse from him chasing.

I love them too but I know what you mean about their nasty temperment. :-(

I went over to Reef gallery yesterday because my 40 cube now has lights ( picked up a used Reef Breeder Photon 24 from a local) so wanted to start stocking it. So, got a few Mithrax crabs and a small blue Damsel and a really pretty adult Melanurus wrasse for the reef 65. Hopefully, he will be able to hold his own against the purple Psuedochromis and maybe actually calm him down because he will no longer be the "king".

I have my fingers crossed for ya about the psuedochromis and wrasse.

I think I am going to try and catch the psuedo and put him in the cube. Got the fish trap out.

Well every fish in there including the Blenny and Blood Shrimp have been in the trap- but NOO - not the one fish I am trying to catch. Going to catch the SOB today - probably have to take out most of the rock and corals - AHHHRRGGG...

The wrasse is holding his own- but I want to get some other fish - and I am thinking about finally starting the project of my Starfire glass 180 ( have to hire someone or build a stand/canopy myself) that has been sitting in the shed since I bought it 4 years ago. SO , the Psuedo has to go....

LOl that little **** . Caught every fish and took out every rock and coral - cant find him anywhere. Stirred up the sand ( only have a one is sand base) . Where the heck did he go!!! Turned all the rock upside down and rotated them before putting them back in the tank in case he was in a hole. NOPE.... Ahhhh..OK.... outsmarted by a fish.

Well- its 6 hours after I put everything back together and no Psuedochromis. I cant figure it out. I wonder if he was in a rock and then jumped when I lifted the rock out to put in a bin and it hit the floor without me or my son seeing it, and my dog got him. I guess we will know tomorrow.

Fish jerky!

Pretty weird. I thought for sure the Psuedo would be swimming around this AM like nothing happened. - but nope.

I traded Romeo in for credit on the small Blue throat trigger at Reef Gallery as she/he was being a bully as well.

I moved all the Firefish to the 40 cube downstairs so livestock in that tank are: 2 small blue damsels, 2 regular Firefish, one Pygmy Angel, and one purple Firefish - am now seeing the Firefish swimming freely all the time as they were hiding most of the time in the tank with the Psuedo and Romeo. Also have assorted Mithrax crabs, hermits, etc. Corals : Colt, Xenia, Green star, Frogspawn. and a small Orange cap. The Reefbreeder light is super.

The 65 will have: Small Blue throat Trigger, a small Copperbanded ( not found yet) , the Melanurus wrasse and corals (mostly Acros). So three med fish and corals. Ya, I know - the trigger needs a bigger tank- stay tuned.

This summer will be the Starfire glass 180 gallon project ( 48 inches x 30 inches x 30 inches) - may need some help with that beast and some guidance as far as purchasing or making the coast to coast overflow, the plumbing, etc. I am going to try and plumb it down to the basement and have a sump, refugium, etc. down there. Lighting over the 180 will be the Radion gen3 XR30 ( now over the 65) and the Reefbreeder photon24 (now over the 40 cube) with some T5 supplemental ( 2 x 24 watt) to decrease the LED shadow effects ( in the garage).

Pics of the 65 and 40 cube coming later today - I hope.

I still have to figure out how to post pics taken by my phone and not just copy the Dropbox link. Well, better than nothing.

Good move Ted, the trigger and wrasse are beautiful and Romeo was pretty plain not to mention a major bully.

O dear, you have it bad...MTS! Do you know what that is? Multiple tank syndrome! When you get a 180 will you be keeping the 65 and the 40?
