hi guys, yellow gigs

While it was bleached, I suppose they would have sold it as a yellow anemone, but it looks more green now than yellow (to me anyway). I am impressed that he managed to bring it back to better shape. I wonder how long that took.

In general, I'm suspicious of "yellow" giganteas, as I've yet to see one that was not just a bleached brown or green one.

me personally ..I love it ...if he had it in the tank for that long it should be sucessfull

Great looking nem and hopefully he'll thrive for you Randy. :)

Minh, want to drive up and get my green one. hehe.

It seems to be doing very well. :celeb3:

The mouth was a bit open the same day it was added, and even a bit the next AM, but by yesterday afternoon (28 h in my tank) it was fully closed. Now I cannot see the mouth at all to monitor it anyway. :)

Here's a picture of it about 28 h after adding it:

I've had my current gigantea for 8 months, and it doesn't look that good. It was bleached pretty bad when I got it though. I think you're off to a great start!

Thanks. It continues to do very well. It is expanded a bit more than the picture and the mouth continues closed. No apparent movement of the base.

My three juvenile ocellaris clowns have moved into it, and I may feed it this weekend. The previous owner had been feeding it clams, which it readily took, and he gave me some of the same type, so I'll probably try that to start.
