I'm not new to the site just figured I would start a thread and actually start posting. I got out of the hobby for about a year now and i'm just starting a new tank. I use to post on another site but that site has seem to slow down.
So I just finished setting up my 40 gall breeder. I was going to use my Asm G2 skimmer but the pump is seized. So I will have to pick one up later on. The cycle hasn't started yet because I need to pick up some live rock and some food. Every tank i start i use dry rock. This time I went with 40lbs of macro rock. Great rock if you ask me, I love the shapes that it came in. Easy to stack and really easy to mount corals to later on.
For lighting I'm using a 4 bulb tec light.
Now I would love to get into sps but I'm waiting till I can get a dosing system set up. I have been into saltwater for about 5 years now. My main goal with this system for a while i think is going to be an anemone tank. It will be a little less maintenance than a full on reef. Also I'm about to give birth to my daughter any day now, so I'm expecting a little less time for this stuff.
Well that's about it for now. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
