High Demand Calcium Reactor?

I'm looking for some opinions on calcium reactors for systems in the 1,000 gal range ... A system with a high calcium demand.

Single Chamber vs. Dual Chamber
Recirculating

Korallin
Barr Aquatic
Deltec
etc....

Thanks,

marco

I picked up an ATB KD150. I've been very happy with it. The KD200 would be what you're looking for.

It is my first Ca-Rx, but I was looking for a large capacity, union top, eheim pump (I had the aquabee swapped out) and built in bubble counter.

The aqua-c was my other choice.

I have read that dual chamber designs are more effective, but these things can put out a DKH around 68 or something like that, so its more than enough power for me :)

The geo's are nice, but do they have a union top now? If not, can you custom order it w/one?

I refuse to buy any more equipment that uses the nylon screws.... I can't stand going through and undoing/redoing those things!

They use a key hole system. You just loosen the screw and twist. It's not like the nylon wing nuts allot of companies use for different things.

I think I would still much rather have a union. JMO :)

Contact AquaC for a custom calcium reactor. Mine hold 5 jars of ARM coarse media. Mainly because I hate to add media and have a large calcium demand. I all it the RX2

i have 1000g sps and have 2 reactors on i think its great to mix the reactor media deltec rowa c plus in the 1000 and a precision marine with arm in the other 2 drps some reason i find the arm does better job with alk and rowa with calc

Of the ones i have tinkered with, the GEO and MRC look and work great for a off the shelf high build quality reactor. I have a korallin, and its not built as well, but probably performs better then any of the others i have played with. They are a bit sensitive and almost require the use of a controller if you dont want to melt your media.
