High Salinity during cycling....

I am on day three of by 20g IM Nuvo Abyss Drop-off. I did all my test today and my salinity level was above 1.028. Is this harmful to my cycle and should I do a water change to lower the salinity or leave it be until the cycle is complete, if that is even possible. Thank you for your help!!

Unfortunately, saltwater bucket got mixed up with the RO/DI bucket and was topped off with saltwater. Newbie mistake. I have reorganized my bucket system by color coordination. My RO/DI system will be delivered tomorrow afternoon.

i don't know if the high salinity will affect the cycle but you can do a couple small water changes to get the salinity right, take out 1 gal of water and add 1 gal of rodi. wait a few hours then test

The high salinity is not going to hurt anything, but it would be best to bring it down to the proper level as soon as possible IMO. Just take a cup of water out and replace it with freshwater. Wait 5 minutes or so, test and repeat if needed. Piece of cake.
