High Salinity to rid bad hitchhikers?

I just read on Pacific East's website they recommend a high salinity of 1.035 and putting your rock in it for a few minutes to get the mantis shrimp and other bad hitchhikers out of the rock.

I just got my 50lbs. of rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater and so far I have removed by hand 4 mantis shrimps and over 68 gorilla crabs.

AND there are still many more!!

Has anyone tried the high salinity? If so how well does it work?
