hobby to ink to skin.

I already look too good add anything like that. Kinda like painting a flower on the Sistine Chapel.

hahah i love tattoos i have a half sleve on my left are deticated to my pap and my gram has a spot saved on it. my right arm is a work in progress.

While I certainly respect the "art" - I agree with Misled - without getting into the inherent dangers of putting permanent ink ( TOXIN) in our skin or the religious aspects of the discussion.

im very safe when it comes to what needles the guy uses and what ink. some inks are way safer then others they have less heavy metals. and i make him use brand new needles not just steralized but right out the package opend in front of me. i love wereing my heart on my sleeve to say the least. and every time i look at one of mine it brings back the memorys to why ive got them. my hobby has a spot in my life and has a spot on my right arm. im hoppening to get this started in the next couple of weeks. the onlyt thing sucks is the pain on your iner arm.

++++++1

I almost got one when I was in the Navy, one of an eagle in the sky above a cliff overhanging the ocean surf, It was going to be from middle of my back to the top of my right shoulder...
Long story short.....day of the inking a hurricane blew in and we had to get the air craft carrier out of port, when we got back in port I didn't have the nerve.

I "do not" regret not having it done.

I've gotten two tattoos so far, and can't wait to get more... If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll post pics up. I'm definitely planning on getting something reef related somewhere, but for now, I plan on finishing my TOOL and Alex Grey leg first. If it wasn't for this damn job not allowing visible tattoos, I'd have started on my sleeve by now...

I have 1 tattoo, and keep thinking I might want a second. The one I have, and the one I'm thinking about getting all have religious significance, since that's about the only thing that I can be sure I wouldn't regret having when I'm 40 :) I also have a person rule that I need to have my tattoo planned for at least 6 months before I get it done, that way I don't have a "now what was I thinking" moment with a stupid dinosaur on my shoulder or something.

i get about 2 a year my one on my left is a half sleve and the one on my right is a anchor for my football team and its sort of a nick name for me i guess hahah. but the im going to be geting a reef one with in the next couple months to finsh off the inner half of my right arm.

Careful with tattoos too though. I think you said you wanted to be a teacher, and like it or not, they're still a taboo in parts of our society, and it's not likely to be viewed favorably by parents (or by the school board when deciding whether to hire you or not.) I'd love one on my forearm, but would never get one there because it can't be hidden, and would be viewed with criticism by some prospective employers. It would suck for you to limit yourself professionally because you had some tattoos in places people didn't like.

trust me i thought about that aspect long and hard i will have a half of sleve on both arms to the piont a short sleeve shirt would cut it off.

here the half sleeve <a href="http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa124/mattd70/?action=view&current=0301091931.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa124/mattd70/0301091931.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
