Homemade reef safe glass cleaner

Been using this formula for a while and thought I would share. It works very well to clean glass, is inexpensive and can be used on/around reef tanks.
In a spray bottle combine 4 cups water(can be RO/DI if you have high TDS tap water),1/2 cup vinegar, and 2 tablespoon corn starch. Shake well to mix and enjoy streak free glass.
No more worries about harmful chemicals into the tank.

I use pure white vinegar and a paper towel. Works great wvery time, although I end up craving a nice salad afterwards. ;-)

Just curious as to why the addition of corn starch? I use vinegar and water myself, or windex from time to time.

Corn starch helps to stop smudges and fogging. We originally used this on the mirrors in the bathrooms and sliding glass doors with little ones to help extend the time between cleaning.

I just spray a little Windex on a paper towel while I'm in the kitchen, then walk to the tank and wipe down the glass. Been doing this for many years and never had an issue.

I use RODI in a spray bottle. Adding vinegar is a good idea. Thanks for the tip.

Thanx for the info as my little ones touch everything especially the tank so this will be a fun one to try. Who knows maybe this might help prolonging time between cleanings!

+1 on the vinegar and water mixture. But for goofs and giggles I may have to add some corn starch.

but the real trick is the squeegee. Fast and easy, I found a nice one at the dollar store.

The same. I use old tee shirts, wash and reuse them.
