homer1475's Biocube 29 Build Thread

So my lights and apex were supposed to come today, they did but no one was home for a signature(if I knew it needed a signature I would have had it delivered to work). They will be here tomorrow, but I was hoping to get a start on the wiring tonight seeing as I only have tomorrow off. In my neck of the woods, I won't see the fed ex guy until after noon. :(

You can call and see if they will leave at post office, ups store, or local kinkos. Really any place local that you can pick up after work.

Cant blame them for sending sig required given the dollar amount of the package...

They won't do anything except try and deliver it tomorrow. I even asked if they could contact the driver, seeing as I live in a very small town there's a good chance he's still in town. Nope they won't do it.

Lol I have no kinkos, or UPS store, etc here. Our UPS drop off location is just a local business that has a table for UPS pickup. My town is tiny, our year round population is under 500. UPS, FedEx, etc, is about an hour drive south. They usually try once, then come back the next day.

The smallness and "out there" of this town is the reason I moved here. It's the snowmobile capital of the east, that's why I moved here in the first place. Snowmobiling, my winter hobby. Lol

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, literally. :D

But seriously, we constantly go up to Canada while riding(its about 2 hours north east(Malone, NY) of me by snowmobile to the border).

Quite a few years back when my sister in law was still alive and we all rode together, we took the snow train one year. Forget exactly where they took us(this was like 10 years ago), but you load your sleds on a train, take a 3 day train ride north, then ride snowmobile for 5 days back to where we started. Great ride, was some of the best fun I've ever had riding.

That's beacause we only have summer for two weeks here. Lol the trails by me are open for 5 months of the year we have snow, we even have snowmobile drag races on the lake by me

yet more reasons I would never live in Canada. Though the strip clubs in Montreal are nice since I dont know what the women are saying and you can touch. HA HA. Needless to say my wife has gone with me to Canada to visit friends ever since she found out about that and we got married... lol

I live in PA. It is too cold and miserable here. I have no intention to move further North.

I turned down one hell of a job offer to move up around Buffalo simply because it was cold up there. That position would have given me an extra 60K or so a year but that was not enough to deal with cold...

when I have to start plugging in my truck is when I have gone WAY too far north.

I would prefer to live in a place that doesn't even see positive 50 degrees for its lows...

That's a normal temp for us in the winter also. I believe we hold the record for the northeast US at -65F. I'm used to the cold, doesn't bother me at all. I've been to the drag races by you spineless, least I think I have. What lake? We have drag races on our lakes too. Good friend of mine owns a ski doo(bombardier for you) dealership and they have one hell of a drag sled that I've ridden. Well not like you actually ride it, more like squeeze the throttle and hold on for dear life. lol

Ok hood all stripped and waiting on the FedEx guy now.

Couldn't find my soldering iron(haven't used it in a loooong time). El cheapo one I bought from Harbor Freight for 4$.

Here you can see how I attached 2 more fans to blow down and across the water to keep temps down. Not thinking I'll need those with the LED's, but I'll hook them up to the apex and only have them come on when temps reach 79+.

Homer I don't judge as long as you don't ride an arctic scat

H*ll to the NO!!

Cats don't like water and we like to water cross. Aside from that, Arctic Cat is what I see dead on the side of the trail the most. Funny part, I don't even ride a SkiDoo even though I can get one h*ll of a deal on one. I've ridden Polaris for nearly 30 years.
