honeymoon snorkeling ideas?

but it was your comment that got noticed...no worries....second six pack of Pipeline...and the neighbors just brought out a cooler of Red Stripe...happy Kat here....

Florida Keys....have to go on one of the boat tours to get out to a good area, but I thought the snorkeling was pretty durn good there.

I've also been snorking in the British Virgin Island. I stayed for a week at the Bitter End Yacht Club...SUPER nice place. The snorkeling was just o.k. though. The high point was the school of cuttlefish I saw.

Unfortunately, the best of the best BY FAR, was the week I spent snorkeling on Lady Elliot Island in the Great Barrier Reef. We stayed in tent cabins on the island. The island has a runway that goes from one end of the island to the other....very small island. Takes about 10 minutes to walk from one end of the island to the other, and less than an hour to walk around the island. Very small, but the snorkeling was the best I've ever seen. Shallow reef on one side of the island, and a drop off reef on the other side. You could easily see 50 feet down.....just full of fish. Truly spectacular.

you look at that and kind of get a feel for rock stacking, ya know? When I first saw Mel's stack, with the separate islands...i fell in love...another member here who recently got banned also nailed this concept...and others have an ability to design caves into the stack...all give me inspiration.....basically...when i'm done, i want to be the fish.

Oh my gosh, that picture of the island is awesome. We want to go there! we'll have to save that till we're out of school. Second honeymoon for our 4 year anniversary?
