Host Suggestion

Not sure if I have Percula Or Occellaris.

Not sure what I can keep with 2 x Tek 48" w/8 bulbs and what these guys will accept. I would like something that stays on the sand if possible. Suggestions?

You have ocellaris clownfish, which host S. gigantea, H. ritteri, S. Mertensii, in the wild. None of these anemones are easy to keep so I would look into a bubble anemone. If your looking for sand anemones a LTA, or Haddoni. Not familiar with your lighting so I will not comment on it.

they are definitely occ clowns. many times LFS cant tell the difference, or do not care that they are mislabeling them.

dont worry though, occ are great clowns, and arent any worse then perculas. i like occ better then perculas. you can tell by the # of dorsal fin spines and the orange around the eyes that they are occ.

LFS's including the one I work for commonly call A. ocellaris percula clownfish, while they call A. percula True percula clownfish.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure because it seems that Occellaris are much more likely to accept BTA.
