hosting clown fish and anemone method

Hi Everyone,
just want to share a hosting method for hosting your clown with anemone. I got my maroon clown to host my RBTA within one hour time and work on first try for all my friends. (Best result if you try it 1-2h prior light out)
material needed:
a noodle basket or something with hole in it(make sure it's deep and big enough for your anemone and clown fish to be in)
anemone & clown fish
Method:
-place your noodle basket or whatever you're using on the surface of your tank and let it float
-remove your anemone or if you just bought the anemone then place them in your basket(please acclimate your anemone carefully) make sure your anemone anchored to the basket and not floating around
-remove your clown fish and place them in the same basket, you can try with one clown if you can't catch both of them
(and please DO NOT catch your maroon with a net, fish trap is best without harming them)
-at first your clown will ignore the anemone and swim around trying to escape, let them be
-after you see your clown settling down slowly dim your lights if dimmable
-for the next 15-20min just dim your light to the minimum but not completely dark.
-after 30min or so then turn off your lights and leave them be over night
-you can check on them every 15min see if they're progressing
-they will most likely host the anemone the next morning, if not then keep them in there for another night
-my friends release their host clown and anemone the next day but i chose to keep mine in the basket for two nights because prior to the anemone they both host the back wall of my tank and i don't want them to go back hosting it.
-when place your anemone in your tank, place it near where your clown hang out so they can spot it quicker. Mine took a day after releasing for them to notice the anemone and reunited.

This is my personal experience with hosting clowns and anemone and works really well if you have any question post a reply
hope it work for everyone like it work for me and my friends
and please excuse my English for bad grammar

I did the same with a twist.. They hosted in 20 minutes..

you really shouldn't confine the anemone and clowns together to try to get the clown to go into the anemone, it takes time for the clown to get used to the anemones sting and if they are not ready it can end up hurting the clown or even killing it.

people need to realize this just takes time, weather it takes min. or months it should be up to the clown to decide when to use the anemone as a host not when you decide you want it to

No secret here. You combined a nem with its natural symbiant. Occys will find a Gig immediately, Percs to a Mag, Saddlebacks to a Haddoni, Tomato to a BTA...

Try your method with clown/nem species that are not natural symbiants and the results will likely not be the same.

+1 olemiss and gary. A clown will smell its natural host from a mile away (literally. Almost. Well not quite).

To be completely honest with you OP, I didn't read your entire post -- I just read "maroon and BTA" and stopped there. You didn't need to do anything other than place the two in the same tank.

For others reading this... there is NO proven technique to get a clown to be attracted to a nem that's not a natural host species.
