My maroon gold stripe clown insists on diggin up and moving my LTA Nem. I have been able to keep her from moving it for a while by back filling the sand twice a day.

What else can be done?
And why is she doing this?

Can you try placing some liverock around the nems foot?
My H Crispa doesn't have any clowns hosting, but it is placed with its foot down in the sand wedged between a couple of rocks.

The Nem had rocks on 2 side that it attached to but she would dig out the other 2 side. She would then nose into it and push as hard as she could. I built a 1 inch tall by 5 in square acrylic ring and placed it around the nem. This has only made it more difficult for her to dig out the Nem. I still have to back fill sand twice a day. I think i am heading in the right direction just wonder if anybody else had similar probs and how they dealt with them.

It's hard to fight mother nature....my black false ocellaris pair pretty much run the tank now....landscaping and all.

LOL!
Yea figured that was the way of it. I just hope the clown is not going to hurt the nem by trying to move it all the time. I dont mind backfilling sand if thats what it takes. Plus it is almost funny the look on the clown like "oh man it took me all day to dig that out".

LOL, well there's not a lot more to say on the subject. Yep, that's what they do, no there's not a lot you can do about it. ;)

I guess i am just shocked that the clown would dig up the num and kick it around the tank. It is dug in right now guess i will keep backfilling. I guess the nem will be fine in the long run. Thank you for being straight forwrd "dc" I appreciate it.

Maroons play rough. Mine knocks over corals, rocks, stirs up the sand you name it. She's a pain. :D I'd never get rid of her, but not so sure I'd ever get another one either.

Mine's never had one. I think the older they get the worse they get.
