Household cleaners

I was wondering what folks use to clean areas around their tanks? Not the tank surfaces themselves, but other parts of the house that happen to be nearby. Mine is next to my apartment kitchen. Any good cleaners/sprays that are non-toxic to aquariums? Anyone use the Kirkland (costco) "non-toxic" household cleaner (it's the green fluid spray)?

A sweet technique is dont spray directly on the appliance/furniture. Spray on the rag(up close) then clean.
