How about fish you hate?

Sorry to see the Six-Line Wrasse get so much hate on this thread and throughout the forum. It's my first and longest lived saltwater fish...... still going strong at 13 years old!! He resides with a Firefish and a mated pair of Clowns. He did bully a Royal Gramma to death by making it constantly hide.... I won't put anything else in the tank after that happened.
The juvenile Neon Velvet Damsel I acquired to have something cheap and cool looking for my frag grow out tank 10 years ago is another story..... he got so big and mean I had to give him his own 55 gallon FOWL tank. Forget about keeping corals with this monster, he would bite, tear and knock 'em around. He even cleared all the sand on the right half of the tank to a pile on the left side.... the tank looked horrible for years. What really got me, was he would rip flesh off my hands and arms whenever I cleaned the tank!! As mean as he was, I didn't have the heart to give it away for fear someone would just kill him. After 10 years of love/hate the beast finally passed on..... I'm now stocking the tank with some VERY peaceful and carefully selected fish!!

You sir, have the patience of a saint. After 10 years of misery the little bugger would count himself lucky to have died of natural causes if it was me....

At this points I'm starting to think i don't even want any fish. They all sound like horrible little murderous turds and there seems to be no predicting it. Fish that are supposed to be peaceful fight constantly sometimes. Fish that are supposed to be mean sometimes get picked on and beaten up by littler fish. Fish that are supposed to be reef safe sometimes destroy coral. Fish that are supposed to hurt coral sometimes don't. As long as you keep em far enough apart at least coral don't hurt eachother.....

Indo emperor 0-4 in 4 years
Velvet killed them mostly

Rhomboid and lineatus 1-6 in one year
Always have swimming bladder issue

Other expensive fairy wrasse always getting punk by cheaper fairy wrasse

Most types of damsels. Newbies think they are cheap, cute little fish until they turn into h... on wheels and you have to tear up the whole tank to get rid of them.

Bluefin damsel! When I was a uber-newbie, the chick at the LFS told me they were chromises and would make a nice school. Yeah, until they terrorized the entire freakin' tank. Caught all but one. He was a crafty little [expletive]! I finally starved the little bastard to death! HA! You mean little [expletive]!!!! You can't over come NO FOOD!! I WIN!

I lol'd my butt off at this. I can just imagine a dude sitting by his tank giving a lone damsel the stink eye and plotting its demise while the damsel sits on the other side of the glass doing the same. :lmao:

Something about the eyes and snout and face of those things is just hideous to me. And they're spazzes that are constantly freaking out, which isn't a great characteristic for a venomous fish. And they swim stupidly. :lol:
