These are very creative and colorful, but I would like to see larger versions! I think they look great though. The moth's wings have a nice blur but the moth itself and the flowers look very sharp. The hour glass is a great concept as well. I timed one a couple of weeks ago in a game of Pictionary (the other team ran out of time hahahaha). I couldn't believe how accurate it was to a stop watch...the user margin of error would have been longer.

Like the second one - way cool. Lighting in the first is a little harsh for me and it's a little busy. That's just my taste.

Yeah bigger. What's the size you guys are posting? 800x600?

The hawk moth pic is a little harsh. It was taken in full sunlight. It was one of those grab the camera and just shoot situations. I was out front watering when this BIG insect came flying up. It flew like a hummingbird and had this long snout it would stick in the flowers. It's not only the ocean that has strange creatures!

Thanks
Ken

I usually post 4x6 (1.5:1) as 900x600 and 5x7 (1.4:1) as 840x600. Keeping the largest dimension around 1000 pixels seems to work for a majority of today's displays. Tomorrow, hopefully not!

It is likely you will find your pic on Google Images eventually, regardless of image size, so my recommendation would be to add your name or watermark on the image and in the EXIF / IPTC info.

I like the moth shot myself! You could certainly play with post processing to soften it a tad.
