How and what to feed Chalice's for Growth and Color?

I was wondering if there was a way to feed Chalice's?

I mean they do not have mouths like my Duncans, Hammers, Frogspawn, or Acans that you can inject food into.

So is there a way to feed them to get better growth and color?

And if so how and what do you recommend feeding them?

I believe the right amount of light, or proper tank placement, and the color spectrum of your bulbs will have the biggest impact on coloration. Mine do nicely at the bottom of the tank under T5s.

They feed on planktonic sized foods. I feed my own mix and try to have a wide variety of plankton sizes: Frozen cyclopseeze, a few drops of oyster eggs, TLF's freeze dried zooplankton with a drop of selcom and occasionally a few drops of marine snow. Everything is mixed in saltwater & fed with a turkey baster. I'll turn off all of the pumps so they can be enveloped in a "cloud" that will drift down & settle on them.

I use the same mix to feed other corals at the same time. I use it sparingly as over use can promote or sustain an algae outbreak. I think most all in one commercial preparations with many types & sizes of plankton (that's the key IMO) will work fine, as well a really finely chopped mysis or baby brine.

+1 on good lighting

I feed planktonic size food too. I also feed my chalices mysis and brine shrimp as well as lps pellets. At night their feeding tentacles come out. I take a dim light and spot feed the eyes. Some of my chalices will readily eat during the day too, it all depends what type of chalice. Always turn down/off flow when feeding so they can grab and digest it

I feed mine mysis, sometimes zoa/LPS food that we bought. There are small feeder tentacles around the mouths that catch it. If they're hungry, anything that lands on them gets directed to the mouths, if not, you can watch it slowly be shuffled off onto the sand LOL.
