ok so i found a small spirally snail on my glass the other day and i first thought cerith snail because my ceriths have been laying eggs for months i thought maybe a couple made it ;) But then i found 2 more today when i was looking at the tank on one of my clams shells right were the shell hits the sandbed now it might be coincedence or it might be pyramid snails which i am hoping it is not ;'( now the clam is a small maxima about 2.5 3 inchs and happy and open and no problems with it and have had it for 2.5 months maybe 3, now when i got it i did brush the shell throughly and such, now i did get a bigger 4.5- inch teardrop after that which i also cleaned the shell now the snails are about a centimeter in length and the shell is thin so they are pretty much a tarnslucent white. so any help would be great, pics of pyramids and possibly baby ceriths?? or anything, now if they are pyramid snails and i found the first one on the glass that means that they could be all throughout the sand and how could i eradicate them if this is the case? or do i just have baby ceriths???

these are pyrams. if what you have are pyrams they wont be all in the sand and on the glass, they stick close to there food source. check your clams a few hours after lights out

ok they do kind of look like that but how big are those??? so its wierd that one wa son my glass then huh?? and what do you suggest to do to remove them besides manually and a tooth brush for the egg? ;)

VERY nice pic mbbuna! I had an infestation of pyramids on a batch of astreas that I ordered online. They were easy to get rid of, I just pulled the snails out as I saw them and brushed them off.

I have occasionally seen them fall off and crawl on the glass trying to catch on to their next victim. They are only a couple of millimeters long.

thanks all i ill be removing them asap as of now it looks like i only have a few but well see when i pull the little clam out of the sandbed ;)
