could i put a small bta into a 60l (600x350x350) tank that has a 150l sump? untill my new tank is ready to setup? it has a 150w mh over it, and a tunze nano 6025 for curculation. would this be ok?/ what would the risks be?

If I'm correct that would be somewhere around a 30 gl tank, correct? If so you would be okay as long as the water quality is good.

i live just down the road from the beach so i can do lots of water changes no problem there, just wanted to check first before i went an put it in, thanks for the help, another question would it be better to put like a bommie in the tank for it? it will be the only thing in the tank

Water straight from the ocean probably won't be good to use for water changes.

That being said, I keep a BTA very well in a tank smaller than yours. That size should be fine.

Plenty of people use natural seawater that they collect straight from the big blue for water changes...I don't see how it could be bad...we ARE trying to replicate that water with our mixes and concoctions.

Dimensions sound good to me...lighting, water quality, and feeding are the key :)

i think you can collect water in your area safely
the people who told you not to do not live in NZ.. you will be fine the deeeper the water you collect from the better though. also make sure there is no sources of polution close to where you collect.
