How big of water changes do you do? And, how often?

None for 4.5 years. Just a tang, lawnmower blenny, copperband, and a clownfish. SPS corals doing great. Did have a red flatworm outbreak after the wife killed the power for a day.

Dave,
I have a 225 gallon system and I try to do a 40 gallon water change weekely. If I miss a week, then its for sure the following week. I averaged my water changes over the last 8 months and I do a water change every 8.57 days :p

Went from 120g doing a rubbermaid can (30g or so) every month, to a temporary 180g (200ish total volume), haven't done a WC yet, but I figure I'll keep the the same schedule and volume for 3 reasons

1) Bioload is roughly the same, with the exception of coral growth where before I'd prune, no new fish though.
2) My skimmer went from an ASM g3 to a BM250
3) I don't have any larger water holding containers :D

350g system with a NET adjusted volume of 250g.

i used to change 70g per week with nsw but now have dropped to 35g of tm pro/rodi every other week.

60gal [its only a baby compared to the above]

- i change out about 1-2gals everyday or every other day on the other days i top off with ro/di water.

[i get free water from scripps aquarium in sd]:eek1: :D

I guess I might be doing to much. I have a 110 gallon tank with about 25-30 in the sump and I do about 45 gallons every 2-3 weeks.

200 gallon total volume.40 gallons per week
used to do 40 gallon per month.since i have been doing it weekly my acros have been more colorful and grow faster.
